This is a very good environmental film about the declining salmon population after the Shasta Dam was constructed way back in 1945. There is a proposal to increase the height of the dam, which will cause further destruction to the fish life among the water. Salmon is useful to waters as a food chain. Sawalmen means sacred water in American Indian language. Nice, beautifully made movie with a lot of scenic shots. Industrial agriculture is leading to destruction of much of the marine population of those parts.
