Devil in Moonlight


Chief Inspector James McCool is on site to investigate one murder, which had a small time robber caught by a bobby. But McCool is convinced he is not the one, though he keeps up the pressure on the robber to name his accomplice. One thing leads to another, one more murder takes place in the small town, Soctland Yard is called in, but McCool continues to lead his part of the investigation. Leg work and classic detective work follows in this book by Maurice Procter. The narrative is quite good as is to be expected of English writers. Goodreads 5/5
